Courthouse archives; estate papers. September 2004 Last will and testamnet of Washington B. Parker Will Record Book 12 Clerk's Office Albion, In (Noble County) I, Washington H. Parker, a resident of Noble County, Indiana and now being of the age of eighty-eight years but also being of sound mind and disposing memory and fully aware of the nature and extent of all my property nd of those persons whom I intend to to make the beneficiaries of the same, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking any and all wills by me heretofore made. Item 1 I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as may be found convenient and my wife, Edith Calbetzor Parker, having predeceased me, I direct that I be laid to rest in Sweet Cemetery, Jefferson Township by her side in my family lot. Item 2 I further direct that my lot or lots in Sweet Cemetery after the burial of my wife and self shall be reserved for the interment of my nephew Reuben Parker and wife and descendants if they so desire and no other persons shall be entitled to interment there. Item 3 In addition to any other bequest or bequests made herein, I give devise and bequeath to my said nephew Reuben Parker the sum of Five hundred dollars ($500) and the old antique black walnut bureau which was made by my grandfather George Nevinger over 100 years aago; and if he shall die in my lifetime, such legacy shall not lapse but shall vest in Reuben's children Item 4 To each of the following named persons I bequeath the sum of Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) to wit: Collins Patterson, Ft Wayne, Indiana; Christian N. Parker, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Walter Parker, Jefferson Township; and to said Christian N. Parker I bequeath my Army picture of the War of Rebellion which he always admired so; and to said Collins Patterson, my double barrell (sic) shotgun. Item 5 I hereby authorize, empower and direct that my executor sell and convert to cash all the rest, remaining and residue of my property, both real and personal and mixed after disposing of said speciific items heretofore mentioned and pay said cash sums heretofore bequeathed if there be not sufficient amount of cash to pay the same immediately after my decease; and all the residue of my said estate then being converted into cash I give devise and bequeath as folliows: (a) to the children of Frank Calbetzor who survives me, one-fourth of said net residue of my estate share and share alike. (b)To Sherman Calbetzor's boy in Milwaukee Wisonson (sic), Fred Calbetzor one fourth of said net residue of my estate and if he should predecease me, then to his child or children . (c) I give devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate of every kind and description wherever located after the foregoing, to the childred of my deceased brothers and sisters, Hettie Faulkner, Elmo Parker, Mandy Treas, and Millard Parker to be divided equally among them share and share alike, and in the event of the death of any of the children of my said dec eased brothers and sisters leaving issue, then such issue to take the share of their deceased parent. Item 6 I hereby nominate and appoint Reuben Parker, as th executor of this my last will and testament who shall have full power to do any and all things necessary for the complete administration of my estate including the power to sell at public or private sale any real or personal property belonging to my estate. IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand to this my last will and testament, this 4th day of December 1938. Washington H.
