This notice appeared in Berrow's Worcester Journal in May 1772 (transcribed on Richard Heaton's Family History Homepage, (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~dutillieul/index.html) WALTER MAYERS, in Turkey-Street, near Severn Bridge, Worcester, Shopkeeper, begs Leave to acquaint the Public in general, that he has bought the Utensils belonging to the late Mr. Josiah Burton, of the Foregate-Street, deceased, for the Use of distilling Herbs and Flowers; whoever therefore please to have their Herbs or Flowers distilled, may depend on their being done with the utmost Care and Punctuality, and by the same Method Mr. Burton used; and those who like to buy such Waters ready prepared, may be served on the lowest Prices, and of the best Quality. Any one that chuse to sell their Herbs or Flowers, will be paid the Worth of them, by their humble Servant, WALTER MAYERS References
