    V.G. Bell, a clerk in the office of Local Agent Woods of the Southern Pacific, dropped dead from heart failure at his residence, 516 Kirkman street, Saturday morning.

    Bell had just finished eating his breakfast and was leaving for the office when he complained of a sharp pain in his left arm and side, sat down for a minute and then tumbled out of the chair, dead.

    Mr. Bell was 35 years of age and leaves a wife and two children, ages two years and eight months. He had only been in Lake Charles for two months. The remains will be taken to his former home in New Orleans on the No. 8 train for interment.
