Virginia A. Fulkerson, 64, of Holton, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Seneca, where she had been for a short time.
She was born September 5, 1950 in Topeka, the daughter of Virgil and Pearl Spiker Fulkerson. She graduated from Wetmore High School in 1969 and later received certification as a Certified Nurse's Aide.
Virginia worked at the Merry Manor Nursing Home for over thirty years until they closed. She then worked at the Alamo Group until they closed. After that she returned to nursing, working at Vintage Park Assisted Living. She loved to read books, sew and draw, and she dearly loved her dogs and cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John Fulkerson, and a brother who died in infancy, Waller Christy.
Survivors include three brothers, Russell Fulkerson and Marvin Fulkerson, both of Goff, and Daniel Fulkerson, Holton; two sisters, Lois Ackerman, Netawaka and Janet Fulkerson, Holton; and nieces and nephews.
Cremation is planned. Memorial graveside services are pending and will be at the Fairview Cemetery at Goff.
