QUAY 3 Virgil A. LaPlant, Sr. 51 of 605 State Street passed away at Mercy Hospital Tuesday morning following an illness of several hours.... Mr LaPlant was a 22 year member of the Bay City Fire Dept., havin g joined the force on August 25, 1947. He had been serving as a dispatcher at headquarters since 1949....
