She had lived in Mitchell for almost 40 years. Funeral arrangements in charge of the H. Noble and Son funeral home have not been completed. She is survived by three sons, Warren Cummins and Virgil Cummins of Kimball and Roy L. She is survived by three sons and a brother.Daily Republic, Mitchell, SD, Thurs, Feb. 08, 1940 Obituary: Viola Davids PercyViola Davids Percy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Robert Davids was born at Richland, Minn., November 01, 1861, and died at Mitchell February 3, 1940. She came to Dakota territory with her parents in 1882, and lived in Brule county for over 21 years. In 1884 she was married to John Cummins. Three sons were born to this union, Warren and Virgil of Kimball and Roy of Sioux Falls. Two brothers also survive her, Glen Davids of Fedora and Lewis Davids of Brighton, Colo. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In 1926 she married David Percy, who preceded her in death. A short time later she moved to Mitchell where she lived until the time of her death. She was a member of the Methodist church in Sioux Falls and later transferred her membership to the Methodist church in Mitchell.
