The home of Mr. Fred C. Hagyard, Pilot Mound, was the scene of a pretty candle-lit ceremony, Oct. 16, when Vera Evelyn, youngest daughter of Mr. F.C. Hagyard and the late Mrs. Hagyard, became the bride of Robert Aldwin Black, elder son of Mrs. Black and the late Mr. Roy Black, of Holmfield, Man. Rev. W.E. McDonald officiated.
The bride wore a street-length dress of royal blue transparent velvet, with halo headdress of blue florget-me-nots. Her corsage was of Johanna Hill roses, and her only ormanet was a wrist watch, gift of the bridegroom.
Miss Eva Black, the bridegroom's sister, was bridesmaid, wore fern green crepe, two-piece frock. Her corsage was of roses and fern.
The bridal music was played by Miss Ruby Foster of Killarney. During the signing of the registre Miss Joyce Boote, niece of the bride, sang Bless This House, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Milton Boote.
Mr. Gordon Barber, Killarney, was best man.
Following the ceremony a buffet supper was served to 36 guests after which the couple left for a trip to eastern points. The bride wearing a two-piece dress of British tan crepe with mathcing hat. Her top-coat was of green boucle with red fox fur. They will reside on the bridegroom's farm at Holmfield.
