George Rollins has full name as John Van Rensler McLane. He also has that "John" later married a Cherokee indian maiden princess and owned land in Manhattan. Since he had a brother John I find it highly unlikely they would name another child John as well. The Cherokee were never in the part of the country that John was and I never have John any where close to Manhattan. He aslo has that he was the son of Unknown McLane & Elizabeth (Sharp or Davenport) McLane who immigrated to America from Scotland. Sharp was her second husband and I have no idea where Davenport came from.

Appears to be living in Wolcott, Wayne Co., NY in 1830 page 191. Has a son and daughter under 5, wife 20-30, and he is 30-40. He is living beside Aaron Decker.

Appears to show up in Michigan in 1840 and 1850 census.
