- A couple of Internet websites that cover the mother's family show the birth as 2 Nov 1788 to make it fit within the death of the father, but the strange wording of both the birth and baptism, make it pretty clear the dates are correct. A couple of Internet websites that cover the father's family show him as a son, but usually include him with the wife he married the better part of a decade after his birth. It is not entirely clear from the printed birth record if his surname was Hanks, or Kidder, but based on census records, it appears he is the Uriah Hanks who married Florilla House, and d. in New York in 1871 according to various Internet websites.
