In 1768 he joined with several others t purchase 50 acres and an old schoolhouse for the founding of Daniels Church in what is now Lincoln Co. Urban was a trustee and one of the founders. In 1774 they conveyed ownership to the United Congretations of Lutherans and Calvinists. Urban was a miller. His children were Philip, Henry, Urban Jr., Maria Christina, Michael, Maria esther, Sophia, and Barbara. [excerpt, "German Speaking People West of the Catawba River in North Carolina 1750-1800", Lorena Shell Eaker] Urban's will was probated 1795 in Lincoln County. It divides his estate evenly between his living children, with the exception of an extra 40 shillings to youngest daughter Barbara, who probably took care of him in his old age, as he was 92 when he died.
