Footnote: 'A record found since the publication of Volume I ... proves that Daniel Meeker m. (2) Elizabeth Smith, dau. of Samuel. The wife of Daniel Meeker was (an unnamed) dau. of Richard Ogden in 1687. Daniel's wife Elizabeth was bapt. July 1695, with the first five children. The second wife, Elizabeth Smith, was certainly mother of the last six children, beginning with Benjamin in 1698.'

It appears to be uncertain whether the wife Elizabeth baptized in 1695 was Daniel's first or second wife. Thus, there is no evidence for the first name of the first wife.
