    Her husband is missing from the transcription. Some trees indicate her husband was John Barnes, but evidence for this appears to be lacking.

    She is not easily found as Grace Barnes in the 1891 census. Possibly she was married to someone else at the time. The older children in the 1901 census may belong to an earlier marriage.
