He united with the Methodist Episcopal Church and remained an active member until his death. His remains were laid to rest at Stone Chapel, in West Union Circuit, Adams Co. OH. He has two sons who are engaged in this ministry, namely,
- Rev. William H? of Indiana and
- Rev. Andrew B. located in Southeastern Kansas, both members of Conference of Methodist Episcopal Church.
The family of the grandparents included ten children, there being besides those above mentioned,
