'Ulrick Keener Jr. removed with his parents before 1750 to Augusta Co, VA. He married Ann(a) Bains. He is found in a poll taken at the election of Burgesses in Frederick Co, VA on 18 May 1761 by Col. George Washington. In 1774-1776 Ulrick Jr. is found on Richard Campbell's list, Revolutionary War rolls, Dunmore Co, VA. He removed to Shenandoah Co, where he is found in the 1783 census with a family of eight. In 1785 Ulrick with a family of nine is listed on Joseph Pugh's tax list for Shenandoah Co. He is found in the 1794 census of VA with a family of nine, but removed to Washington Co, TN prior to the 1800 census. He was a witness on several documents in Washington Co, TN around 1800 and on the Early East TN Tax Lists of 1814 from Washington Co, as having property of 230 acres.'
