In Westerly, R. I., March 22d, 1880, Mr. Truman Lanphear, aged 81 years and 5 months. Mr. Lanphear was a native of Westerly, spending his early life and closing years in that town, while for about thirty years he was in business in New York. He joined the First Hopkinton Church in 1866, of which he was a respected member at his death. "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
