    'Torbjørn [child of Jakob Leivsson Naper and Guro Torbjørnsdotter] f. 1687 d. Naper 1764 [married] I Hæge Jonsdotter Midtbø, Nissedal f. 1688 d. 1758. II 1760 Gunnhild Såmundsdotter (Dalen 25) f. 1734.'

The second marriage is suspicious, as it occurred when Torbjørn was about 73, and resulted in 3 more children (one who died young). The 2 surviving daughters of this marriage are named the same as Torbjørn's (first) wife and Gunnhild Såmundsdotter's mother. It seems more likely that Torbjørn had a son named Torbjørn and that it was he who married Gunnhild Såmundsdotter, and that they had daughters named after each of their mothers. The fact that Gunnhild did not remarry until 1784, in spite of having 2 young daughters when Torbjørn Jakobsson died in 1764, as well as the fact that the burial record of Torbjørn's (first) wife calls him "old Torbjørn Napper" (presumably to distinguish him from a younger Torbjørn Napper) lend credence to this theory.
