"39. Timothy Judd, first son of Capt. William Judd, of Waterbury, (Westbury parish,) graduated at Yale College, 1737. He married 1st, Mary Clark, daughter of Thomas Clark, March 29, 1744, and she died Nov. 8, 1744. 2d, Millescent Southmayd, widow of John Southmayd, Oct. 9, 1749; she died March 26, 1763. She was a Gaylord from Middletown, and born 1720. 3d, Ann Sedgwick, widow of Benjamin Sedgwick, and mother of Judge Theodore Sedgwick, Aug. 8, 1764. This proved an unhappy marriage and they separated. 4th, Mary Foote, widow of Samuel Foote, June 6, 1780. She died Oct. 1782. 5th, a widow Clauson of Stamford. Timothy Judd was appointed a Justice of the Peace every year from May, 1765 to May, 1783, and held other offices. He represented Waterbury in the General Court 21 sessions from 1746 to 1773, but resided in Westbury parish. He died with his son, Allyn S. Judd, in Northfield parish, in the bounds of Litchfield, Jan. 23, 1796, aged 82."
