    BOON, Thys, age 66 of 331 Front St., Sumas, passed away Wed., Sept. 21, (1977). Born in Coupeville, Mr Boon was a retired farmer and had been a 30-year resident of the Sumas area. He was a member of the Sumas Christian Reformed Church and on Sept. 22, 1944 was married to Minnie Jager in Lynden. Besides his wife, Minnie, he is survived by 4 sons, Keith and Dale of Sumas, Vernon at home and Ronald in Everson; 2 brothers, Martin and Cornelius in Oak Harbor and a sister, Mrs. Christina (Herman) Bosman of Lynden; 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Sat. Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. in the Sumas Christian Reformed Church, Rev. Bill VandenBos officiating. Burial will follow in Monumenta Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home, Lynden. Contributions and memorial gifts may be made to the Sumas Christian Reformed Building Fund.
