Are you aware that Thomasin Ellzey Turner migrated to Wood County, (W)Va shortly after 1800? I'm doing my Ph.D. dissertation on kinship migration, including the Turner-Beckwiths, who came to northwestern Va. I may be able to find out stuff about them, since i live in Wood County. I would like to have more on the Ellzey family, i.e. Sarah Ellzey turner's siblings and parents. I know one of her sisters was Sybil Ellzey Beckwith, many of whose descendants migrated to this county. Let me hear from you.

Yes, I am now aware of the fact. Also William Elzey his father and a brother Thomas and his wife Ann went to Wood co. First William was a tenant farmer for Dr. Spencer and then he bought land in Belleville. Sarah Turner and Peter Chevalier were married in Belleville in 1818. I am also looking for the Chevaliers in that same area. Also Jacob Sheets married Peter's widowed mother. Please e-mail me direct. I didn't receive a notice that you had responded! Barbhugh@@accn.org
