“John Barnhill of Greenville District, Planter,” (and his wife, Catherine) to Dr. Thomas Blackburn Williams “that parcel on Brushy Creek waters of reedy river originally surveyed for John Hunt, William Varnell and Jofar Carter of 350 acres.”
Beginning on a water oak at the mouth of a small branch in the survey granted to William Varnell, up the branch to a black gum, SE to a red oak, NE to a post oak, NE to a red oak, on the road known by the name Goodwin’s road, SE to a stake, SE to the road, then down the road SE to a red oak where Varnell’s original line crosses said road, SE to a pine, SW to a red oak, then a continuation of the same course to Brushy Creek, then up the creek to the beginning.
