Thomas Welch, was the son of Thomas Welch, Sr. He married Sarah "Sally" Grigsby in about 1775, in Culpeper Co., VA.
It is believed they moved to Louisa County, VA, sometime, after their marriage. He served in Col. Daniel Morgan's 11th and 15th Virginia Regiments from 31 May 1777 to 30 Nov 1778. He possibly served in private in Capt. Love's company of Virginia Volunteers on 10 Sep 1777. He died in Rockbridge Co., VA. Unsourced data in
