Here the Clay form (in hope to rise),
Of Deacon Thomas Upham lies;
Sixty-two Years measure his race,
Thirteen of which the Deacon's place
With other trusts, he did sustain
In all of which shone the Christian
But God ordains the Wise, the Just,
Like other Men, should mix with dust.
