    "9. Thomas4 Tupper (Thomas,3 Capt. Thomas,2 Thomas1), born in Sandwich, Mass., 25 July 1693, died in the spring of 1739 in Stoughton, Mass. … He lived in Sandwich until about 1717 when he moved to Stoughton and settled not far from a farm owned by his brothers-in-law, Eliakim and Josiah Perry, where for some years he manufactured shingles and clapboards of wood from the nearby cedar swamps. His father joined him about 1726."
