    MIGRATION: 1635 on the Hopewell (on 28 July 1635, "a smith Thomas Tredwell," aged 30 years, "Mary Tredwell," aged 30 years, and "Tho]mas] Tredwell," aged 1, were enrolled at London as passengers for New England on the Hopewell [Hotten 110].
    OCCUPATION: Blacksmith [Hotten 110]. His inventory included "the things in the shop" valued at £1 10s. [EPR 2:241]. Inkeeper On 6 June 1639, "Ipswich hath liberty to authorize Goodman Lumpkin, Goodman Firman or Goodman Tredwell to draw wine and strong water." [MBCR 1:263].
    CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: Admission to Ipswich church prior to 7 September 1638 implied by freemanship.
    FREEMAN: 7 September 1638 (first in a sequence of two Ipswich men) [MBCR 1:374].
