Thomas T. Thompson was born in Virginia and relocated with his wife and father-in-law's family to Kentucky in 1818. Thomas settled in Grant County, Kentucky while his father-in-law, Francis Robinson, settled very nearby in Harrison County. These families are well-known early settlers in the "Stringtown" area located along the dividing line between Harrison and Grant Counties.

    Thompson and Denny Family Cemetery is located just across Grant County, Kentucky line, if not right on the county line, just past Stringtown, turn left in curve near the old log house. Go back the lane 1/2 mile, on right.
