"Thomas Tenney, born in Rowley [Bradford], Mass., 28 May, 1681, son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Stickney); married in Rowley, 17 Dec., 1705, Sarah Tenney, daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Hidden). I do not find the date of her death. He was married 20 May, 1720, to his second wife, Sarah Taft, by Rev. Joseph Dorr. … He was a carpenter and housewright. His will dated 25 July, 1746, Probated 5 Feb., 1754. Executrix (Sarah, his wife) to half of the real and movable estate. The children, Moses and Thomas, have 40s. each in bills of credit, old tenor, besides settlement and support above made; his son, Isaac, 20s. and all his husbandry, utensils, and implements, provided he keeps and sustains two cows every year during 'the life of Sarah his wife. Also all real estate of his wife after her decease, provided he comply as above, and that she be carried to the place of worship of God at such times as she shall require,' and pay other legacies. The daughters: Elizabeth, has £56 with 40s. and half of the household stuff of her own mother, deceased, with weaver's loom and appurtenances; Phebe, the same, except £5 in lieu of the loom and appurtenances."
