    2 Jun 1759: Inventory of the Estate of mr Thomas Swain Late of Reading Deceased: £ 491-7-2, by Brown Emerson, Samuel Bancroft Ju'r, John Walton Jun'r, plus a couple of additions made by administratrix.
    18 Jun 1759: Bond of Hannah Swain Widow of Reading as administrat'x of her late husband Thomas Swain late of Reading Deceas'd Intestate.
    14 Apr 1762: Appraisal and division of real estate of Dr Thomas Swain Late of Reading Deceased: to Mrs Hannah Swain her down; remaining two thirds to Oliver Swain the Eldest son it not being capable of more than one settlement. Notes advances to Hannah the Eldest daughter and wife of Benjamin Crown, to Hepzibah the second daughter and wife of Thomas Norton.     26 Apr 1803: Warrant to divide estate that "was set to Hannah his widow for her dower & is now reverted by her death". 4 Jul 1804 Judge's decree settles land on Thomas Swain jr grandson of Thomas Swain late of Reading Physician, he paying to deceased's daughters Margaret & Hephzibah; to deceased's grandchildren by deceased daughter Hannah, viz Benjamin, William, Nathaniel & Hannah; to grandchildren by son Oliver deceased viz Oliver, Benjamin, Thomas & Margaret; to his own sister Lucinda.
