Will of "Thomas Soden of Cambridge yeoman", dated 5 May 1766, proved 13 Mar 1770, names son Samuell Soden; son William Soden [currently no children if he should die and leave this woman Abigail Bright to pay her £50 a year and room in the house as long as she remains his widow]; two daughters Susannah Elliot and Hannah Hastings; daughter Elliots son Thomas; grandson Thomas Hasting; daughter Mary Hastings her granddaughter; grandson William Soden Hastings; John Phillips children [relationship not specified, "as a gift from me for their grand mothers sake"] Hannah and Thomas Phillips and "the rest"; son Samuel's son Thomas and daughter Hannah Soden. Appended note mentions "my Wife that now is" and a marriage contract with her. Sons Samuel and William appointed to see all debts and funeral charges paid ("executor" never mentioned).

Countersigned by Samuel Soden, Ebenezer Elliott, Seth Hastings.
4 Nov 1785: Account of Samuel Soden adm'r of Thomas Soden late of Cambridge deceased allowed.
