Facts and Events
Some time before 1701, his stepfather, Joseph Hawkins, conveyed to him a parcel of land known as "Burton's Hope"; he also inherited some land from his grandfather, Christopher Rowles, which he sold in Dec 1701. He & his wife, Sarah, sold 40 A. of "Burton's Hope" in Sep 1704. He was in Baltimore County (possibly only doing business there) by Mary 1705, when he patented a tract called "The Stones." He apparently was living Baltimore County by Nov 1720, when he & Sarah sold land in Dorchester County, which she had inherited from her mother's 2nd husband, Philip Griffin. Thomas owned several additional tracts of land: "Gray's Luck," "The Stones," & "Solomon's Hills."S1 References
