"Thomas1 Rowell (Valentine) was baptized at Mancetter, Warwickshire, 17 March 1594; and died at Andover, Mass., 8 May 1662. He married first at Mancetter, 12 Oct. 1615 Margaret Milner, who probably died at or soon after the birth of Samuel in 1636, or may have been the wife who was listed, without sources, as 'in England, sick, in 1649' (David W. Hoyt, The Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury, Massachusetts [1897-1919. Reprint. Baltimore, I982]). Thomas1 Rowell married second, after 24 Feb. 1650/1 [the date of their pre-nuptial agreement], Margaret2 (Fowler) Osgood, daughter of Philip1 and Mary Fowler and widow of Christopher1 Osgood. She married third, before 1670 Thomas Coleman of Newbury and Nantucket; and fourth, about 1682 Thomas Osborne of Nantucket."
