    Shown as age 89 at burial 10 May 1862. This gives birth date of abt 1773, which correlates with age at Census ‎(when rounded down to nearest 5 years as was commonly done)‎.

    Birth record in parish register shows 1789, but this cannot be the correct date. Possibilities:
    * wrong parish record, but have examined ALL records for the parish and this is the only Thomas Riley ‎(and Riley family having children)‎ for that period.
    * Baptised late in life ‎(at 16????)‎
    * Record missed and added later?

    Will stick with date from Census/Burial record for now. RR-7/2/07
