"Thomas Richards s of Thomas & Mary (Parsons) born Apl 3, 1694 (Hartford Town Record) died 1750 [his father died 1749, estate entered into probate 1 September 1750 while this Thomas was still alive] mar/1 June 6, 1717 (Hartford Town Record) Abigail Turner bp Apl 18, 1697 (2 Ch Rec) dau of John Turner and Susanna Merrill. Mar/2 Nov 19, 1723 (1 Ch Rec) Susannah (Turner) Reynolds widow of Samuel Reynolds. She was bp Dec 10, 1699 died Sept 24, 1736 dau of John Turner and Susanna Merrill [According to the Farmington Vital Records and the Memorial. Genealogy, and Ecclesiastical History [of First Church, New Britain], the wife who died in 1736 was Abigail. Susanna had married this man's second cousin, Thomas Richards of Waterbury]. Thomas Richards and Abigail his wife ad full com 1 Ch June 1, 1721. …
"Andrews' New Britain says Abigail Turner died Sept 24, 1736 & that he m (2) Dec 28, 1738 Rachel (Andrus) Ovice dau of Thomas & Rebecca (Carrington) Andrus & widow of Samuel Ovice." Apparently correct.
"Yale Annals Vol 2 p 50 says that John Richards son of Thomas & Susannah (Reynolds) Turner was b June 23, 1726 in Waterbury and was grandson of John & Mary (Welton) Richards." Apparently correct.

June 16th, 1717, Abigail Turner, of Hartford; they lived in Southington, 1728 to 1750, when the family moved to Stanley quarter, in New Britain, and located on the corner west of the former school-house ; his wife, Abigail, died Sept. 24th, 1736, when he married second, Dec. 28th, 1738, No. (5;) he was to church in Newington, Sept. 23d, 1750, by letter from Southington; a blacksmith by occupation."
