42. Thomas⁴ Pierpont (James³, Robert², James¹), son of James and Sarah (Gore) Pierpont, was born at Roxbury, Massachusetts, on 14 January 1711. He was buried at the McDonough Cemetery in Middletown, Connecticut, on 16 September 1764. … According to family tradition, Thomas was both a sailor and a blacksmith. … Inventory was taken on Thomas's estate at Middletown in February 1765. Although a court order directed that widow Mary receive £15, the estate was insolvent and no other heirs were named."
