    42. Thomas4 Pierpont (James3, Robert2, James1), son of James and Sarah (Gore) Pierpont, was born at Roxbury, Massachusetts, on 14 January 1711. He was buried at the McDonough Cemetery in Middletown, Connecticut, on 16 September 1764. … According to family tradition, Thomas was both a sailor and a blacksmith. … Inventory was taken on Thomas's estate at Middletown in February 1765. Although a court order directed that widow Mary receive £15, the estate was insolvent and no other heirs were named."
