Thomas Lee Pierce was born on January 9, 1824, in Allegany County, New York, and died in Milton Junction on February 26, 1904, aged 80 years, 1 month and 15 days. Mr. Pierce came to Wisconsin when a young man of 20 in 1844 and settled in this vicinity where he has resided most of the time since then. Shortly after coming here he was married to a wife who lived but a short time. Two children were born to them, one of them a son names Alec who is yet living. About 1853 Mr. Pierce was married to Miss Emma Monroe who lived until 1884. To them nine children were born seven boys and two girls. The surviving children are Duane Pierce, of Woodville, Wis., Arthur Pierce of Elmwood, Wis., Sydney and Everett of Milton Junction, and Mrs. Josephine Warner of Johnstown. The funeral service was held on Monday afternoon at the M. E. church with interment at the Milton Junction cemetery, the Rev. C. M. Starkweather officiating.
