Thomas Mallinson, of Bradford, Yorkshire, England, was a contemporary of the father of Edward Jowett, and perhaps of about the same age, born possibly about 1550-55, buried at Bradford, in the church, 6 Aug. 1624. His wife, whose name is unknown, had also been buried in the Bradford church, 20 Jan. 1602. These records, relatively unusual, indicate a family of some distinction. The will of Thomas Mallinson, dated 31 May 1624, indicates that he had moved at the end of his life to Manningham, a township in the parish of Bradford, where dwell his youngest daughter with her husband, Thomas Wilkinson. He bequeathed ten pounds to his son Richard, and the residue of his property to his widowed daughter Ellen and his sons-in-law, William Booth of Horton and Thomas Wilkinson of Manningham.
