• Botetourt County, VA Marriage Record: William Henry m Elizabeth Jones 14 Jun 1780, bondsman Thomas Lockey. [Note: the fact that Thomas Locke served as a bondsman for William Henry who married Elizabeth Jones provides some circumstantial evidence to support that William Henry as a likely relative to Thomas Locke's wife Susannah Henry. [Possible cousins?] Additional research is needed to determine the exact relationship between Susannah Henry (daughter of John Henry) and William Henry (son of James Henry and Eleanor McGill)].

   Thomas Locke and Susanna (Henry) came to Sevier Co.TN, living on Lower
   Middle Creek across from where Fort Sander Hospital is today. Thomas Locke
   was the county court clerk in Sevier Co. for some years. They are buried at
   the site where they lived. There is a family Bible for this family. It gives
   the parents of Susanna as John Henry and Mary.
