Painsville Telegraph: Death of an old citizen--
"Mr. Thomas Lamb died at the residence of S. Rogers, in Concord, on Wednesday, June 14, 1871. He was an old & respected citizen of that township. We recall visits to his hospitable home as long ago as 1836. He came to Ohio from New Hampshire in 1825. Some years since he removed to Michigan where some of his sons reside. This spring he came down to make his old home & friends as he said 'a last visit. Some days previous to his death he had an attack of fever & chills, and while suffering from this fell down the bank of the creek, some 6' but which it is not thought had any material influence in his death. Being 85 years old, he was quite feeble & had not strength to resist the 2nd attack of chills. He was a soldier in War of 1812. His funeral, in which a large number of his former neighbors & acquaintances joined, took place on Friday, the 16th inst."

  2. 1809 was the first year he appeared in the Town Inventory of Wendell, NH.

Pension application dated 17 Feb 1871 says he was 86 years of age which would put his birth year about 1785.
