    Thomas Jenkins in this memorial came to Champaign Co. OH. in 1806, lived and died in Champaign Co. OH. many of his children are also buried in Champaign Co. OH. Thomas was in Champaign Co. Oh. in the 1820 and 1830 census. Chancery records of the Court of Common Pleas Record Book #12 page 499 filed 5 Jan. 1831 Champaign Co. Ohio states that Thomas Jenkins died in this present year of 1831 in Champaign Co. OH. owning 60 acres located on the north side of south-east quarter section 28 Township 4 Range 11 (Mad River Twp.) held by deed dated 13 June 1816, from George & Nancy Steinberger and on file in book C, Pages 41-42. The heirs of Thomas Jenkins; Susannah Jenkins, widow; Elijiah and Philip Jenkins both left the state several years ago and have not been seen since; unknown heirs of Dicy Price who died in Virginia, wife of Stephen Price, Phebe, wife Bryant Moody; Lucy; wife of John Moody; Joel Jenkins; Thomas Jenkins; Edwin Jenkins; Jesse Jenkins: children of Polly Maggart deceased, Milly Maggart deceased, Jesse Maggart, Soloman Maggart, Moses Maggart and Andrew Marrgart. Russel Jenkins; Eleanor, wife of Emanuel Kite; and Milly wife of Frederick Pence. Joel Jenkins was appointed guardian for the heirs of Polly Maggart. First money of distribution to heirs was made 6 June 1835.

    Information from History of Champaign County, Ohio, its people, Industries and Institutions Vol.II Page 718 Thomas and Nelly (Fisk-Sisk) both of whom were natives of Virginia came to this county in 1806, locating in Mad River township in the wilderness, their log cabin being among the very first erected in the township along Owens creek. Here they spent the remainder of their lives.
