    Will of "Thomas Hurd of Northfield ... yeoman", dated 29 Sep 1829, filed 12 Mar 1833, proved 14 May 1833, names daughters Sally Weatherbee - Milly Taylor - Phebe Ball - Polly Mansell - Susanna Coller and Jerusha Coats; wife Esther Hurd. William Cobb of Warwick to be executor.
    18 Jun 1833: Inventory of Thomas Hurd yeoman late of Northfield deceased testate: $717.52, by Jonathan Blake Jr, Joseph Stevens, James Goldsbury.
    5 Feb 1834: Application of Esther Hurd of Northfield for benefit of pension granted to her late husband Thomas Hurd who is now deceased ... died at said Northfield on the seventh day of March last.
    13 May 1834: includes legacies paid to Sally Weatherbee, Milly Taylor, Phebe Ball, Susannah Coller, Jerusha Coats, the heirs of Mrs Polly Mansell.
    Excerpt from note in file, "from the Diaries of William Cobb":
    May 17, 1805: John Thomas Hurd son of Thomas Hurd died. Aged about 1 year.
    Mar. 7, 1833: Thomas Hurd died, age 73 years.
    Aug. 15, 1833: Jerusha Coats, daughter of Thomas Hurd, of Cananadaigua Onondaga, New York her on visit
    Nov. 3, 1833: Mrs. Sally Weatherbee of Salisbury, Vermont came down to (Married Nov. 15, 1805) visit her friends, and take some money that was due from the Estate of Thomas Hurd, her late father.
    Jan. 19, 1836: Widow Esther Hurd made an assignemnt ... and on the day after the assignment was made she was married to Phineas Stiles of Wendell.
    Aug. 30, 1840: Mrs. Esther Stiles died, aged 63 years. This woman was the widow of Thomas Hurd when married to Phineas Stiles on Jan. 19, 1836, and sent to live on the farm formerly owned by said Hurd, in the east part of Northfield. The improvements of the farm belonged to her during her life time, and after her death to said Hurd's children.
    Mar. 10, 1841: Thomas Hurd farm sold for $650.
