"He was a physician; his professional services were much sought for, and he was often called to attend patients in Boston. On one of these calls to Boston he was suddenly taken ill; and, as tradition says, thought he was the victim of slow poison. He lived to reach home, told his wife of his impressions, and the he should soon die; as he did, April 14, 1728, in his 48th year."S1
