  5. Obituary from Ft. Payne Times-Journal 15 March 1960:
    "Mr. Thomas Nelson, age 73, of Fort Payne Route one, passed away in a Birmingham hospital Tuesday, March 8, after a two-month illness. A farmer, he was a member of the Fort Payne Church of Christ and had lived in the Fischer community for more than fifty years.

    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie Gray; one brother, C.F. of Valley Head; one step-son, S.L. Morrow of Fort Payne; one step daughter, Miss Mary a. Morrow, U.S. Army, France; five nieces and three nephews.

    Funeral services were held Thursday, 1.00 p.m. at the Fort Payne Church of Christ with Mr. Douglas Harris officiating. Burial was in the Valley Head Cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home directing."
