Paula L. Ghrist, age 51, of Munster, IN, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2002. She is survived by her sons: Timothy (Darlene) Ghrist of Mt. Vernon, IN, Thomas (Erica) Ghrist of Scottsdale, AZ, Peter and James Ghrist both of Hammond, IN; Daughter: Bonnie Ghrist of Hammond, IN; Grandchildren: Todd, Jacob, Wayne, Megan and Jessica Ghrist; Mother, Bonnie Sarchet of Munster, IN; Brothers: Gregory (Dee) Sarchet of Chicago, IL and David (Marilee) Sarchet of Ft. Meyers, FL; and nephews, Michael and William Sarchet of Chicago, IL.

Friends may call on Sunday, September 29th, from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairmeadow Community Church of the Nazarene, 1601 Fran-Lin Parkway, Munster, IN, with Pastor Michael Brown officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.

Paula Ghrist loved her children and devoted her entire life to them. They meant more to her than anything. She was a wonderful Grandma and Aunt. She attended Fairmeadow Community Church of the Nazarene. Paula was a dedicated educator at Griffith High School. She tutored math for over 20 years to countless students. Paula is and was the best mom and friend anyone could ask for. She is loved and will be greatly missed.
