Thomas Lodington Fairfax, Esq. of Steeton and Newton Kyme, b. 1770, m. Aug. 1798, Theophania, dau. of Edward Chaloner, Esq., 2nd son of Wm. Chaloner, of Guisborough; and d. 1 July 1840, leaving (with three daus., Jane-Frances; Elizabeth, m. Feb. 1832, to Rev. Thomas-Hart Dyke, of Long Newton Rectory, Durham; and Theophania, m. to Henry-Collingwood Blackett, Esq. of Sockburn Hall, Durham) a son and successor, the present Thomas Fairfax, Esq. of Steeton and Newton Kyme. He d. June 1840.

Thomas Lodington Fairfax was born on 28 June 1770 at St. Thomas', Liverpool, Lancashire, England.2 He was the son of John Fairfax and Jane Lodington.2 He married Theophania Chaloner, daughter of Edward James Chaloner and Theophania Burridge, on 12 August 1799.1 He died in 1840.1
He graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 11 November 1794 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).2 He lived at Newton Kyme, England.1
