'He may well be the Thomas, son of Thomas, who was buried at Dorking on 27 April 1623.'
The author points out, in the context of a different burial, that the wording of the burial record suggests a child. Since this Thomas' father had died long before 1623, it seems unlikely that he would be identified as Thomas, son of Thomas. There was a Thomas, son of Thomas, baptized at Dorking 13 Oct 1622 and another such baptized 4 Apr 1624 - presumably the burial in 1623 was for the first of these.
