Ancestry

His ancestry (as of Oct 2024) is taken solely from volume 1 (published 1932) of Roscoe Whitman's book "History and genealogy of the ancestors and some descendants of Stukely Westcott"[1], because I haven't been able to find any other published ancestry for him. Many trees (including FamilySearch Family Tree) have a different mother (Julian de Somery) and at least one more generation between Thomas de Littleton and Sir Simon de Frankly, but none seem to provide any evidence.

However, it should be noted that Whitman's book has many inaccuracies, as noted in a web article The Ancestry of the Westcotts of Raddon By Mr Brooke F Westcott of England.

p.5: "... Thomas de Littleton (2nd), lord of the manor of Frankly in Worcestershire, and esquire of the body of Richard II, Henry IV and Henry V."

    p.6: "He died in 1392, ..."

The death year must be incorrect, as the reign of Henry V didn't start until 1413. Possibly 1392 was the death year of his father.
