Thomas1), born 23 March 1662 in Wethersfield, Connecticut (Barbour citing VR 1:76); and died there 4 December 1712 (Barbour citing VR 1:18) at age 49 according to his gravestone in Village Cemetery (Hale 25). … Administration on the estate of Thomas Chester was granted to widow Mary Chester on 2 February 1712/13. The inventory came to £16,547:13:07 and debts to £12:09:00, leaving £1645:04:07 for distribution of which real estate comprised £1189:00:00. The distribution made on 6 December 1714 names the widow Mary and daughters Eunice Williams and Mary Chester. Widow Mary Chester was appointed guardian to her daughter Mary, at age 9, on the same day (Manwaring 2:176-177).
