VI. THOMAS BUCHANAN, eighth of Drummikill and Moss, retoured heir of his father, Walter Buchanan of Drummikill, 30th October 1582, infefted in the lands of Blairnevaddis, 1582, was surety for George Buchanan of Buchanan, John Buchanan of Ballecondoquhy, and John Buchanan of Gartincaber, 3rd January 1592-93. He was a witness to marriage contract between Walter Buchanan, Younger, of Spittal, and Jane Stirling of Craigbarnet, dated at Craigbarnet, 7th October 1593.
Thomas Buchanan married, first, Logan of Balvie's daughter, secondly, Stirling of Glorat's daughter, and had
(1) William, who succeeded;
(2) John, called "brother of the surety" in 1608, William Buchanan of Drummikill being the surety;
(3) Walter, who was at one time of Connachra and married Margaret Buchanan:
a) Janet, wife of John Buchanan, fiar of Cashlie; and
b) Agnes, married 1604, Thomas Buchanan, Younger, of Ibert and Ballachruin. T
