"… Thomas Bronson, b. 5 January 1710, son of Lieut. Thomas Bronson … and Elizabeth Upson, … He d. 25 June 1759, of measles. Thomas Bronson was Deacon of the First Church of Waterbury, 1756-59. It is probable that he was an innkeeper in view of the fact that he furnished meals for public officers on special occasions (Anderson's Waterbury, 1:387; Appendix, 116.)"
