King George Co., VA Will of Thomas ARNOLD 27dec1725 In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Arnold of Hanover Parish in King George County in the 77th year of my age doe make this my last Will & Testament in manner and form as followeth. ITEM: I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife GRACE Arnold my plantation and land so far as to ye place where William HARRISON's path makes into the side or edge of my plantation or cleared ground, to her proper use and disposing during her natural life and from and after her decease my Will is that the said land hereby given to my wife as aforesaid doe wholy belong to my son JAMES Arnold and his heirs forever. I appoint my wife Grace Arnold, Exekutrix. ITEM: After that part of my land hereby given to my wife and my son James is by a strait course from the said Harrison's path westerly to Capt. Joseph STROTHER's line taken to them, that the whole remaining part of my land immediately belong to my youngest son JOHN Arnold and his heirs forever. And being not indebted and giving the whole of my personal estate to my wife Grace as aforesaid and my Exekutors being ready to give such sekurity as King George County shall think fit, I desire that my estate may be appraised. /s/ Thomas Arnold Teste: Isaac ARNOLD, James WHITE.
