March 1767 Theophilus Alexander of Cecil County in Maryland and Moses Scott of Chester County Pennsylvania, Executor of William Fergusen, deceased of the one part to William Gillespie of Cecil County, Cooper of the other part. Witnesseth that Thomas Weir by his indenture bearing date 1 December 1752 did sell and convey unto the afs’d William Ferguson one part of a Tract of Land lying and being in Cecil County and a part of a Tract of Land called New Munster being part of nine hundred and three Acres formerly purchased of Arthur Alexander from Thomas Stevenson as may appear by Deed bearing date 15 Aug 1718 and whereas the said William Ferguson did by his last will and Testament bearing date 19 Oct 1750 authorize and impower the said Theophlius Alexander and Moses Scott to convey his Lands and Tenements… therefore they do grant bargain and sell for the sum of Sixty four Pounds fifteen shillings and six Pence Current Money of Pennsylvania in hand paid by William Gillespie the above mentioned tract bounded as follows
Beginning at a Corner marked Pisimin Tree and is a Corner of Robert Curry’s Land ... to a Stake near John Alexander’s Barn thence West sixty eight Perches to a Stake thence by a Streight Line to the aforesaid Beginning containing by estimation fifty acres and one half be the same more or less.
